How to change screen resolution in virtualbox when running Mac OS X on a Windows pc or laptop.
I decided to make this tutorial as when I had finally installed Mac OS X on my pc the resolution was not right . I could just not find a tutorial that showed me from start to finish how to fix this problem . So I ended up watching about 10 tutorials taking a bit of advice from each and eventually getting the screen res correct .
Here is the bits of of code you will need to copy and paste as I did in the video
Code to use on virtual machine (Mac OS X ):
<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>1920x1080x32</string>
Change resolution accordingly
Command to run on host side(windows):
cd "C:\Program Files\Oracle\Virtualbox"
then press enter
vboxmanage setextradata "Name of virtual machine" "CustomVideoMode1" "1920x1080x32"
again change resolution accordingly and change to the name of your virtual machine
press enter again
